Wireless internet service and a laptop computer are available for guest use. Spa pool Our Hot Springs therapeutic spa pool gives you the opportunity to relax, reduce stress and relieve your muscles after a great day in the outdoors. Just lie back under the bubbling waters (held at 39 degrees) and enjoy the views over the sparkling waters of Golden Bay. Or sip on a glass of wine or champagne admiring the wonderful Pohara night sky with thousands of stars… Swimming pool For the summer season 2010-2011 we plan the construction of a heated outdoor swimming pool with the unique magnapool system used in professional wellness centres. (no chlorine or chemicals). The therapeutic pool will be free to use by all our guests. Entertainment The Lodge provides collection of nature documentaries and New Zealand-made movies. In our library you’ll find a wide variety of reference books with attention to local and national history, New Zealand culture and nature. For a rainy day or lazy summer evening different games are at your disposal. Sport equipment Tennis & badminton rackets, basketball & football, petanque and croquet equipment can be used free of charge. Mountain Bikes Two Giant mountain bikes are available for guest use. The rental price is NZ$20 for a half day and NZ$30 for a full day hire. This includes bike, helmet, map, lock, bicycle-pump, spare tyre and repair kit. Transport to or from the tracks can be arranged at a small extra charge. Coach Service The Lodge has its own luxury mini coach that maintains a free shuttle service from / to the Takaka i-Site (Bus terminal) and Golden Bay Airport (Capital Air). For clients flying in from Nelson Airport we can organize a private transport between Nelson and Pohara. Please advise us at least 24 hours in advance with your arrival times. |
