A daypack, walking shoes and good outdoor clothing are essential to fully enjoy your walking experience. Walking poles are an extra for those looking for more stability on uneven surfaces.

What to bring
• Daypack
• Drink bottle for water or tea (1-2liter capacity)
• Good sized lunch box
• Smartphone
• Comfortable walking shoes/trainers/sneakers
• Two pairs of good walking socks
• Adequate outdoor clothing for all weather conditions
• Water- & windproof jacket
• Warm sweater
• Sun hat & sunglasses
• Light indoor footwear
• Togs & swimming towel
• Personal toiletries and medication
• Basic first aid kit
• Photo/video camera
• Energy snacks
• Walking poles (optional)
• Personal locator beacon (optional)

The equipment mentioned above is necessary for each individual person participating on The Bay Walk. If you have a special diet, please bring all substitute items with you as these provisions can be limited in Golden Bay.
